Avocado Pizza

Ingredients

Pita bread (could be substituted by cauliflower crust or pizza crust).

Spread

1/3 cup of Cilantro

1 Jalapeño

8 oz Ricotta Cheese

Pinch of salt

½ Lemon

½ teaspoon of Simple Foods Avocado oil

Toppings

1 Avocado

½ Lemon

½ Jalapeño

1 tablespoon cilantro

1 teaspoon maple syrup

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes


Recipe


FOR SPREAD

  1. Mince the cilantro and jalapeño.

  2. Mix with the ricotta cheese and the avocado oil.

  3. Add salt to taste.

FOR PIZZA

  1. Cut the avocado in thin slices.

  2. Mix the maple syrup with the red pepper flakes

  3. Cut the jalapeños in thin circles

  4. Brush the pita bread with avocado oil.

  5. In a sauté pan over low heat warm the pita bread.

  6. Remove from pan add the spread to the pita bread add the avocado on top of the spread.

  7. Sprinkle the maple syrup mix over the avocado.

  8. Squeeze ½ lemon over the pizza

  9. Garnish with jalapeños and cilantro leaves.
